Leeds City College is one of the largest further education institutions in the country, with more than 20,000 students, and is one of the biggest providers of apprenticeships regionally.
The School of Social Science is home to the Health Science & Social Care department, offering a range of courses and apprenticeships taught in professional facilities, underpinned by practical learning and work placements in local health and care and educational organisations. The School recruits over 1000 learners per year of which more than 35 per cent are adults.
The college offers a pipeline of opportunity for students and talent for local health and care employers. More than 97 per cent of learners move on into either further or higher education, employment, or other positive destinations.
