This notice tells you how the Leeds Academic Health Partnership (hosted by the University of Leeds) uses the data of Health Innovation Leeds Incubator members.
- THE HEALTH INNOVATION LEEDS INCUBATOR
A member of the Health Innovation Leeds Incubator is someone who:
- Registers their interest in the programme
- Becomes a participant of the programme
- Completes the programme and becomes an alumni
- WHERE DOES THE UNIVERSITY GET YOUR PERSONAL DATA FROM?
We obtain data about you when you:
- Register your interest in the programme
- Submit an application to the programme
- Complete and return surveys or forms (by email or via the website)
- Share it with a member of the programme delivery team
We also obtain data from our partner organisations that assist us with recruiting participants (e.g. Community leaders and representatives or the West Yorkshire Combined Authority). We have data sharing agreements in place with our partners to safeguard data about you.

- Access requirements if you attend an event

We will process information about you to:
- Administer and deliver the programme
- Report on programme impact
- Promote events and activities that may interest you
- LAWFUL BASIS FOR PROCESSING DATA ABOUT YOU
We process information about you to administer the delivery and evaluate the impact of the programme as a task in the public interest and will process access requirements with your explicit consent.
We will contact you to let you know about events that we think are relevant to your interests. We will only do this if you give us your consent and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- KEEPING YOUR DATA UP TO DATE
We will update the data we hold on you from time to time (e.g. if you provide us with new contact details). If you would like your data to be updated, please email [email protected]
- HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR DATA SECURE?
Your data is held securely on University systems including Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics. Access is strictly controlled and all staff receive training on data protection and information security.
We employ a third party organisation to provide web services for the Health Innovation Leeds Incubator. These experts will provide their services in accordance with the strict instructions of the University.

As the funder of the programme, some of your anonymised data will be shared with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority for the purposes of communicating impact and ensuring the best programme of support is provided.

- Rectify inaccuracies in personal data that we hold about you
- Be forgotten, that is your details to be removed from systems that we use to process your personal data

Data will be retained indefinitely unless you tell us otherwise so we can continue to contact you with opportunities we think will be of interest.
