Leeds City College is one of the largest further education institutions in the country, with more than 20,000 students, and is one of the biggest providers of apprenticeships regionally.

More than 97 per cent of the College’s students move on into either further or higher education, employment, or other positive destinations.

Working with some of the top employers and organisations in the region – who provide work placements and apprenticeship opportunities – Leeds City College is committed to developing courses that match local and regional skills needs. This includes local health and care employers, with its School of Social Science recruiting over 1,000 students per year of which at least a third are are adults. Endorsed nationally by Skills for Care, the School offers a range of professional courses which are supported by hands-on experience through practical learning and local work placements in health and social care.

As a large employer, Leeds City College is part of the Leeds Anchors Network (LAN), helping  people  into higher education and employment.
