Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust (LCH) collaborates with partners to provide excellent training and inclusive multidisciplinary development opportunities for staff and students, contributing to a skilled workforce and continual talent pipeline for the city’s sector.
This includes placements in a wide range of settings, including in people’s own homes as well as in clinics, community centres, schools and custody suites.
The Clinical Education Team provide educational support for staff, students and other learners who are either employed or on a placement within the Trust, working with primary care partners, local colleges and universities, and Health Education England .
LCH hosts more than 500 undergraduate health care students each year in: apprenticeships, nursing, occupational therapy, district nursing and Advanced Clinical Practitioners and more.
Its Medical Education Department oversees clinical training for medical students and doctors.
As a large employer, LCH is part of the Leeds Anchors Network (LAN), helping people into higher education and employment.
